xperion Energy & Environment GmbH, a subsidiary of the Germany based Avanco Group, has selected Heath, Ohio as the location for its new state of the art production and development facility. As an international supplier of lightweight Type IV CNG cylinders, xperion plans to aggressively expand its current X-STORE offerings for automotive, truck, bus and storage modules.
In a ground breaking ceremony on November 14th, members of the xperion team were joined by Lt. Governor Mary Taylor, Mayor Mark Johns and other State and Local officials, to announce the construction of the custom built 50,000 square foot building located just outside of Columbus.
Already a key supplier to leading CNG companies including Volkswagen, Daimler and Westport, xperion will enhance it’s X-STORE product offerings (both Hybrid and Super Lightweight) to new sizes focused on the needs of key American customers.
Rich Kolodziej, President of NGV America adds: “The commitment from xperion Energy & Environment, to establish their first facility outside of Europe in Ohio, adds further proof that the time for Natural Gas Vehicles has arrived in the United States. I look forward to seeing xperion’s new product offerings as the industry continues to push the technology and commercial boundaries.”
