Bolivia’s National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) is set to deliver operating licenses for two workshops in the city of Potosi, one of the highest cities in the world at 4090 metres, as part of the continuing national drive for conversion of gasoline-powered vehicles to compressed natural gas (CNG).
The establishment of the two workshops is expected to facilitate conversions in Bolivia’s southern region and brings the country’s total number of conversion workshops to 213. The CNG system allows users to achieve 65% savings in economic terms in relation to vehicles fuelled by gasoline and up to 50% for those using diesel.
