Cryostar, supplier of cryogenic equipment for industrial and natural gas applications, is preparing to hand over a new liquefied natural gas fueling station (LNG) at Auxerre in France, to transport and logistics company Picq & Charbonnier. Cryostar already boasts a long list of LNG/LCNG fueling station references, but the completion of a turnkey, modular and economical station represents a first for an independent carrier. Qingdao Expands Natural Gas Refueling Network

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the city of Qingdao in the eastern Chinese province of Shandong plans to build a high-pressure pipe network for city gas distribution and a secondary high-pressure gas network to Central Jiaozhou Bay as part of the city’s goal to increase accessibility to natural gas. Included in the plan is a major extension of the city’s natural gas refueling network. Italian natural gas truck manufacturer Iveco, Maganetti Group (a collective for logistics and transport companies in the province of Sondrio) and mineral water producers Levissima-Sanpellegrino (Nestlé) have opened a new LNG-CNG station in the Como Lake region of Northern Italy. Servicing the community of Valtellina this is the 6th Liquefied Natural Gas station open for operations in Italy. Read more »

Second French LCNG Station for Gas Natural Fenosa

Poitiers natural gas station Continuing to promote natural gas as an alternative for mobility across Europe, Gas Natural Fenosa, through its subsidiary Gas Natural Europe has opened its second public natural gas fueling station in France. This station, located in Poitiers, offers both liquefied natural gas (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG). It is the first in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and has an 80 m3 tank and capacity to supply all sorts of vehicles: lorries, buses, tractors, light or utility vehicles. Read more »

Gasrec Expansion Daventry - Chart Jul2016German engineering company Flow Instruments GmbH, a European subsidiary of Chart Industries, has been awarded a contract to supply four LNG dispensers for the Gasrec LNG/LCNG vehicle fueling station at Daventry International Distribution Centre, UK. Speed Oy, a specialized container transport company based in Helsinki, Finland, has decided to introduce a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-fueled Volvo FM 460 hp dual-fuel truck to its fleet operating from Helsinki’s Vuosaari Harbor. An LNG refueling station for heavy-duty vehicles will open at the harbour in August by Gasum, a Finnish gas company intent on developing the road fuel gas filling station network enabling the use of LNG in heavy-duty transport.  Read more »
