DHL Freight, one of the leading providers of road freight services in Europe, has deployed one of the very first liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered Iveco Stralis long-haul trucks capable of towing a mega trailer. During a year-long trial period the truck will operate as a daily shuttle between DHL’s logistics center and a BMW Group production plant in southern Germany. Read more »

There are several recent developments in the Dracénie Provence Verdon (DPV) agglomeration in south-eastern France that involve natural gas vehicles (NGVs). European transportation and logistics heavyweight Girteka Logistics, based in Lithuania, has been testing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) -powered trucks. It has found CO2 emissions reduction of 85 per cent is possible using the renewable fuel Bio LNG when compared to an equivalent diesel vehicle. Read more »

LNG-fuelled Scania trucks in Mendoza
The Government of Argentina has published ENARGAS (National Gas Regulatory Entity) Resolution 42 to enable the importation of vehicles powered by natural gas. According to the official bulletin of the Republic of Argentina, the efficient use of natural gas represents a transition from the secondary energy matrix to cleaner and more efficient fuel use patterns.
