In the presence of the project’s partners on Friday June 21 in Houdain, the Artois-Gohelle transport authority (SMT-AG) inaugurated France’s first refueling station for hydrogen buses. The entire clean hydrogen production, storage and distribution chain is being equipped with technologies supplied by McPhy Energy SA, a global specialist in hydrogen production and distribution equipment. Indian mobility is increasingly turning to natural gas as a cleaner fuel. Several government initiatives are supporting the transition and include a massive infrastructure response that will address current limitations of supply while encouraging increased uptake. The Auvergne Rhône Alpes (AuRA) regional Council has together with other French participants has set about deploying the largest renewable hydrogen mobility project in France, called Zero Emission Valley (ZEV). The first stone of the first hydrogen station, installed in Chambéry by ENGIE Cofely, has just been laid and opening is planned for November this year. Read more »
Spain’s HAM Group has opened a new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) service station in the Valencian Community, taking the overall number of HAM natural gas stations in Europe to 37. It is located on the Villarreal-Onda highway, km3, Castellón (39.949265, -0.166319), next to the CV-20, an important road axis formed by Villarreal, Onda and Alcora. Read more »

Continuing California’s drive toward clean fuel adoption, Chevron U.S.A. Inc. and California Bioenergy LLC (CalBio) are to jointly invest in a holding company with California dairy farmers to produce and market dairy biomethane as a vehicle fuel in the state. The holding company, CalBioGas LLC, secured funding from Chevron to build infrastructure for dairy biomethane projects in California’s San Joaquin Valley, adding to the investment from dozens of dairy farmers. Global energy company Cepsa and Spanish gas distributor Redexis have signed a framework agreement to expand the reach of natural gas fuel, both in urban areas and across the country’s main transport corridors for light and heavy vehicles. Together they will create the largest gas refuelling network in Spain in a bid to expand the supply of energy solutions and foster sustainable mobility. Read more »
American Natural Gas (ANG), a specialised designer, builder and operator of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in the U.S. has acquired ampCNG, a natural gas fuel provider. This acquisition bolsters ANG’s reach by adding 20 additional natural gas fueling stations to their portfolio. Read more »
Gasum has opened two new gas filling stations in the city of Oulu in central Finland. These stations are Gasum’s northernmost and significantly expand the company’s network of filling stations to enable gas-fueled long-distance transport from the southern regions of the country to the north. Starting this summer, PitPoint BV only supplies renewable green gas to its public CNG filling stations in the Netherlands. This is an important milestone because it increases the CO2 profit by refueling at PitPoint. Driving on green gas reduces CO2 emissions by up to 80 percent compared to diesel.
