A delegation from JSCo Russian Railways (RZD) visited KAMAZ, and also OOO RariTEK – a service center and distributor of KAMAZ producing vehicles with gas engines. The guests saw the model range of gas-powered KAMAZ trucks and NEFAZ buses. The railroaders were interested in the issues of maintenance, operation, and three advantages of CNG vehicles – efficiency, environmental friendliness and safety.
The visit advances a cooperation agreement set in place one year ago by Vladimir Yakunin, President of JSCo RZD, and Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ.
Railwaymen actively use various types of equipment on KAMAZ chassis for track works. The signed agreement was the first step to organize professional and competent service of such vehicles. The agreement implies the conclusion of contracts between JSCo RZD and service centers of KAMAZ to carry out maintenance, repair and complete overhaul.
During the visit, representatives of RZD also expressed interest in an NGV-refueling compressor station BI 100. Its operation can reduce the cost of methane as a fuel by 2.5 times.
