California-based Quantum Technologies has followed up last week’s order for back-of-cab (BOC) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems from Dillon Transport with a new order this week for delivery of its light-weight 123 DGE Back-of-Cab system for use in a heavy-duty refuse truck application.
Quantum’s BOC systems are produced and assembled at Quantum’s tank manufacturing and integration facility in Lake Forest, California. The refuse customer uses Peterbilt 355 trucks and the installation and service program will be managed through the Peterbilt dealership network. The installation will also be supported by Quantum utilizing its dealer training and post-sales service program that was implemented this year.
“We are excited about the opportunity this order presents within a new application market for Quantum, and the ability to work with the Peterbilt dealership network on this program,” said Mr. Brian Olson, President and CEO of Quantum. “In addition to the growing market for heavy-duty CNG Class 8 tractors, there is steady growth in refuse applications.”
Quantum’s structural design based on OEM-level requirements such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), as well as its lightweight Type IV tank technology, offers end users a complete storage system with lower operating costs and faster return on investment.
