NGV Global, established in 1986 to champion the natural gas for transportation industry worldwide, has a tradition of recognising and honouring individuals who, by their actions and endeavours, have promoted and inspired the development of a significant NGV program or activity. During periods of challenge, such as that presented to our industry by a prolonged low oil price, people of remarkable tenacity, skill and commitment keep pushing forward — these are the changemakers: policy and technology innovators, leaders and visionaries we would like to acknowledge and celebrate.
The criteria for the awards include:
- The achievements of the nominee have significantly advanced the use of natural gas as a vehicular fuel.
- The achievements of the nominee can be clearly seen in terms of natural gas vehicles in use.
- The achievements of the nominee have far reaching benefits in the widest interests of the NGV industry in the country concerned.
- The achievements of the nominee are consistent with good character and political or business ethics. Members and associate members of NGV Global are invited to make nominations for the NGV Champions award.
