| Russia, St Petersburg

Lada Largus CNGYesterday in St. Petersburg, within the framework of the III International Eurasian Forum “TAXI”, “Gazprom gas fuel” presented the compressed natural gas (CNG) -powered LADA Largus CNG, from Russian car manufacturer AvtoVAZ. The project for the production of 300 pilot gas versions of the LADA Largus CNG has been implemented within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation signed 17 July between the companies “Gazprom gas fuel”, AvtoVAZ and ATS Service (gas equipment retrofitter), which is aimed at expanding the range of domestic passenger vehicles running on natural gas.

“Gazprom gas fuel” and AVTOVAZ are jointly stimulating the market with the introduction of an incentive: buyers of the LADA Largus CNG will be granted a bonus fuel card for a certain amount of fuel, partially offsetting the higher cost of the car compared to it’s conventionally-fueled counterpart.

The car will be sold in regions with a high demand for gas fuel, including St. Petersburg, Rostov region, Nizhny Novgorod region, Kemerovo region, Krasnodar region, Stavropol Territory, the Republic of Bashkortostan.

“LADA Largus CNG is the first national car on natural gas. The choice of the gas model will allow the private car owners to significantly save on fuel, and transport companies to increase the effectiveness of commercial activities”, said the deputy commercial director of “Gazprom gas fuel,” Dennis Kornienko.
