IGL’s Annual Report Includes Significant NGV Comment by Chairman

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) the sole supplier of compressed natural gas (CNG) and pipeline (PNG) in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, presented a report on activities and future plans to shareholders at its 12th Annual General Meeting at the beginning of August. The year 2010-11 witnessed huge expansion in CNG infrastructure with 37 new CNG stations set up by the company in the last year thus taking the figure from 241 stations to 278 stations while the compression capacity increased from 3,769,000  kgs/day in March 2010 to 5,113,000 Kgs/day in March 2011 thereby showing a growth of 36%.

Addressing the shareholders, Mr. B.C. Tripathi, Chairman, IGL highlighted the achievements of the company in 2010-11. He said, “The financial year 2010-11 was another eventful year in which for the first time, the Company started Online CNG supply to vehicles in Ghaziabad.”

He also said private vehicles will continue to be a growth driver for CNG sales in the coming years.
