Greka to Add 25 CNG Filling Stations in Central China by End 2012

Natural gas producer Greka Integration, Inc. will finish the construction of 25 compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle refuelling stations in central China’s Henan province by the end of 2012, said Chairman and CEO Mr. Randeep Grewal in a recent Xinhua News article. The stations, supplied with coal-bed methane (CBM) expected to supply a total of 500,000 cubic meters of CBM daily.

China’s coal-bed methane output would reach 30 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2015, according to the 12th Five-Year Plan covering 2011-2015, released by  the National Energy Administration.

The country’s potential reserves of coalbed methane are estimated at 36.81 trillion cubic meters, ranking third in the world, with proved reserves hitting 273.4 bcm.
