Korean marine engineering company GAS Entec has delivered its Engineering Service and Total Cargo Handling Equipment Package for America’s First LNG Bunkering Barge Project. The vessel is under construction at Conrad Orange Shipyard, TX USA and the main cargo containment system is the GTT Mark III Flex system.
GAS Entec has designed and engineered the LNG Cargo & Bunkering Handling System for the 2,200 cbm LNG bunkering barge, conforming to the requirements set out by the US Coast Guard and ABS.
The company says it can be justifiably proud that as a small Korean Engineering firm it has supplied the main engineering service and equipment for the world’s first small scale membrane LNG bunkering vessel project, in the USA.
Especially for Integration Automation Service, GAS Entec has applied its first product named ‘iCAMS’ which enables the barge to fully satisfy the ‘unmanned condition’ requirement. The company says its product provides a competitive solution in the LNG Vessel Automation System Market which has thus far been dominated by global companies.
The vessel will serve to bunker two TOTE LNG fuelled container ships which had been built at NASSCO Shipyard in USA and its expected delivery of the barge is first quarter of 2017.
