LNG-powered Viking Prince

Eidesvik Offshore ASA has entered into an agreement with independent Swedish oil and gas exploration and production company Lundin Norway AS, for chartering of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) powered supply vessel Viking Prince, due for delivery from Kleven Verft end of March. Viking Prince is the fifth Eidesvik Offshore vessel that is powered by LNG, with dual-fuel engines to ensure low NOx and CO2 emissions. “It is delightful to see another operator on the [Norwegian continental] shelf start using LNG powered supply vessels,” says CEO Jan Fredrik Meling.
