IVECO Stralis Hi-way (LNG)Dutch transportation company Speksnijder Logistics B.V. has a new Liquefied Natural gas (LNG) powered IVECO Stralis Hi-way tractor, chosen for its compatibility with the company’s goal of running a sustainable business. The new tractor, supplied by IVECO Schouten, will be used for distribution activities and refuel at the Rolande LNG filling station in Tilburg.

Speksnijder Logistics B.V. is specialized in transport, distribution and warehousing, in particular of temperature-sensitive products and fragile high-tech products.

The new Iveco Stralis employs a 330 hp engine coupled with a manual gearbox with double H-pattern and splitter. The combination of engine and gearbox ensures very low emissions of NOx, CO2 and soot particles. In addition, the reduced noise of a natural gas engine enables the vehicle to operate during restricted hours in inner cities.

The IVECO Stralis Hi-Road is the first vehicle in the fleet of Speksnijder Logistics BV with liquefied natural gas as fuel.
