Cobham Mission Systems, a division of global technology and services innovator Cobham, has been selected by Altech-Eco Corporation, a US manufacturer of fuel conversion systems for light duty vehicles, as a preferred supplier for Type 4 cylinders. Altech-Eco is an approved Ford QVM (Qualified Vehicle Modifier) CNG technology developer.
Altech-Eco is EPA certifying their Bi-Fuel and Dedicated CNG Systems for the following Ford 2017 models; F-250/350 6.2L, F-150 5.0L, Transit 3.7L and Transit Connect 2.5L.
Cobham offers CNG cylinders with no minimum amounts. Tim Sopko, Vice President, General Manager, Cobham Mission Systems said, “Being chosen by Altech-Eco, a leader in the alternative fuel industry, is a confirmation of our winning strategy, which focuses on giving companies the flexibility they need to grow their business, not their inventory.”
Cobham’s current offering includes a 21″ diameter family of various lengths available in strap mount and newly released boss mounts. The company continues to develop additional sizes including a 17″ diameter family of cylinders available to the market later this fall and a 26″ diameter family in the first quarter of 2017.
