CNG Coming to Corridors to Kota

Signing agreement for Rajasthan gas supply Apr2017In a significant step towards setting up of retail gas infrastructure in Rajasthan and opening CNG corridors connecting key cities, a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) between Rajasthan State Gas Limited (RSGL) and GAIL Gas Ltd was signed by Mr. Ravi Agarwal, Managing Director, RSGL & Mr. P K Pal, CEO GAIL Gas. The increased availability of CNG through the new infrastructure is expected to stimulate interest amongst vehicle owners to switch to natural gas fuel.

The BTA will pave the way for transforming Kota in the southeast of the northern Indian state of Rajasthan to a smart city by providing clean energy to boost industrialization and set up CNG corridors between Kota & Jaipur and Kota – Baran – Jhalawar.

RSGL set up first green highway between Delhi-Jaipur after commissioning a mega-CNG station at Neemrana and Daughter Booster Station at Kukas in June 2016 under the Chief Minister Budget mission.

Rajasthan State Gas Limited is a Joint Venture Company incorporated on 20th September 2013 by GAIL Gas Limited and Rajasthan State Petroleum Corporation Limited (a subsidiary of Rajasthan State Mines & Minerals Limited) to set up retail gas infrastructure in the state of Rajasthan as a Nodal player to supply cleaner fuel for domestic, automotive, commercial and industrial customers.
