The state-run Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) has signed a contract to obtain 489 low-floor Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses, the first 150 of which will be delivered in December, according to an official government news agency report.
BMTA Governor Surachai Iamwachirasakul disclosed that Deputy Minister of Transport Omsin Cheewapruek chaired the signing ceremony for the contract to buy a total of 489 NGV buses from Bestling Group Ltd.
Delivery has been planned within 90 days after the signing of the contract to give Bangkok commuters a much improved service.
