CNG Patrol Vehicles for Chihuahua Traffic Management

Agents of the Municipal Traffic Directorate (DGTM) in Chihuahua, Mexico, have received 30 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered patrol vehicles. The vehicles were purchased by the Municipality for 12 million pesos (approx. USD 655k).

The municipal president, Armando Cabada Alvarez, explained at the handover the single-cab six-cylinder Ram pickups will utilise CNG at a saving of approximately 40 percent on fuel costs.

The patrol vehicles will be used to deter drivers from committing infractions as well as lowering municipal fleet emissions.
