Audi A5 Sportback G-tron
The Audi natural gas powered g-tron series – A3 Sportback, A4 Avant and A5 Sportback – is now available for test drives in Sweden. Access to the Audi cars for this purpose is being made available by FordonsGas, owner and operator of multiple gas filling stations mainly in western Sweden. There are over 170 gas stations in Sweden and 4,500 in Europe.
Fordonsgas points out the benefits of owning and driving such a vehicle, including:
- new generation gas models offer the same driving pleasure as the diesel or gasoline variants
- tax free for 5 years – a gas-powered car is exempted from vehicle taxes for the first five years
- 40 percent reduction in the benefit tax for company car buyers (up to maximum of SEK 10,000 for 2017)
- driving to the mountains or into Europe without range anxiety
- renewable energy – with biogas produced in the near future, you do not only make an effort for yourself and the environment, but for all of Sweden.
The Audi A3 Sportback has been available from Swedish dealers for some time but is now joined by the A4 and A5.

A4 Avant g-tron

- 2.0 TFSI engine develops 125 kW (170 hp) and achieves torque of 270 Nm (199.1 lb-ft)
- With S tronic in gas mode, uses 3.8 kilograms per 100 kilometres, with CO2 emissions of 102 grams per kilometre (164.2 g/mi). In gasoline mode: 5.5 litres per 100 kilometres (42.8 US mpg); 126 grams of CO2 per kilometre (202.8 g/mi).
- In conjunction with the manual six-speed transmission, the A4 Avant g-tron accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 8.5 seconds. Top speed is 223 km/h (138.6 mph).
- Price is SEK 375,000 (USD 45,000)

- 2.0 TFSI engine develops 125 kW (170 hp) and achieves torque of 270 Nm (199.1 lb-ft)
- With S tronic in gas mode, uses 3.8 kilograms per 100 kilometres, and achieves CO2 emissions of 102 grams per kilometre (164.2 g/mi). In gasoline mode: 5.6 litres per 100 kilometres (42.0 US mpg); 126 grams of CO2 per kilometre (202.8 g/mi).
- In conjunction with the manual six-speed transmission, the A5 Sportback g-tron accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in just 8.5 seconds (A4 Avant g-tron: 8.5 seconds). Top speed is 226 km/h (140.4 mph).
