Dottore Aldo Bassi, former Research Director of Alfa Romeo and long and passionate advocate of natural gas vehicles and biomethane, former chairman of the ISO TC22 SC25 for Gas Vehicles, member of SAE and consultant for IANGV (NGV Global), NGV System Italia and ECOGAS, passed away in Italy on December 10.
Bassi struggled with his illness since 2010, but continued his intense involvement in NGVs for as long as possible, and also managed to stay connected with the other aspects of life that he did not wish to abandon. Aldo shared his life between different passions: his family, NGVs and music; he was a renowned luthier.
The NGV community will surely miss him.
