VW CrossTouran EcoFuel – Lifestyle with Natural Gas

August 11, 2010 | Germany, Wolfsburg

VW CrossTouran TSI EcoFuel now available for order.

Volkswagen will take orders for the new CrossTouran EcoFuel as from 12 August. Volkswagen’s ‘more extrovert’ compact MPV is available from a starting price of €27,700 (USD 35,800). It comes with a modified road kit complete with longer suspension springs, getting 20 millimetres more ground clearance than the standard model.

Fuel consumption when driving on natural gas is 4.8 kilograms per 100 kilometres, which equates to CO2 emissions of 133 gm/km.

The additional natural gas tanks are located beneath the floor, so that the vehicle’s cargo capacity of up to 1,989 litres is not affected.

Item compiled using information from a Volkswagen press release.
