Omnitek's Advanced Engine Management System (EMS) for natural gas and hydrogen
System Meets Euro 5 Emissions Standards for On-Road Heavy-Duty Engines
California based Omnitek Engineering Corporation says it has become the exclusive supplier of natural gas engine management systems to Czech Republic-based TEDOM s.r.o. Ltd. The system is utilized to meet EURO 5 and EEV emissions standards in TEDOM’s heavy-duty 12-liter engines. TEDOM engine production is incorporated into the TEDOM Holding as an independent division based in Jablonec nad Nisou.“The ability of Omnitek’s technology to meet or exceed Euro 5 emission standards was a major consideration in TEDOM’s’s decision to engage our company as the exclusive supplier for this critical engine management system used in heavy-duty 240 hp, 295 hp and 348 hp engines and utilized in buses and trucks. We are gratified by TEDOM’s confidence in our technology and look forward to accelerated demand for natural gas engines in Europe, as well as other world regions that purchase TEDOM engines,” said Werner Funk, president and chief executive officer of Omnitek Engineering Corporation.
Funk noted that compressed natural gas provides significant advantages over diesel fuel, including sharply reduced emissions, plentiful supplies and favorable economics. “Our partnership is off to an excellent start with 45 TEDOM engines utilizing Omnitek systems already operating in buses in Europe,” he said.
