Linde to Outline New LNG Fueling Technology at LNG 17

Scandinavian Conference Voices Support for Biomethane-Fueled Transportation

Denmark - Gron gas til transportA Scandinanvian conference held end of January in Skive, Denmark, attracted 300 delegates keen to discuss and learn about biomethane fuel for transportation, reports the BIOMASTER project. Called Green Gas for Transport, the event’s audience heard of Denmark’s “positive attitude” toward replacing fossil fuels with biogas in the near future, and enjoyed presentations from Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Brazilian Workshop Discusses Natural Gas Heavy Vehicles

To encourage the use of natural gas in urban transport and cargo in Brazil, the CNG Committee of Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP) held the 3rd Workshop on Natural Gas for Heavy Vehicles, in Rio de Janeiro on November 23. Included in discussion was the development of the dual-fuel CNG-diesel bus with flex technology and a heavy duty engine proposal from MAN Latin America. Read more »

NGV Global 2014NGV Global has announced the successful bidder of and location for NGV Global 2014, the association’s 14th biennial conference and exhibition. The event will be held at the Long Beach Convention and Exhibition Centre in May 2014, following a successful bid from Gladstein Neandross and Associates (GNA). Announcing the successful bid at the NGV Global General Assembly, Alicia Milner, Events Committee Chair and incoming Chair of the Association, said that one of the strengths of the bid was the high level of support from high level industry members. Netherlands Sets 2015 Goals for LNG-Fuelled Transportation

Several Dutch companies are working with the government of The Netherlands to accelerate the introduction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a transportation fuel, for both land and marine activity. The declared goal is to have at least 50 barges, 50 ships and 500 heavy-duty trucks powered by LNG by 2015.  Project initiators Deltalinqs, Energy Valley Foundation and Port Authority LNG TR & D reached a “green deal” agreement to this effect June 14th with Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation Maxime Verhagen — who currently also acts as Vice Prime Minister — and State Secretary Atsma. Approximately 2,500 visitors took part in NGVA Europe’s NGV2012 Bologna Conference and Exhibition in Italy last week, including government, commercial and association representatives from 40 countries.
