IGL reminds owners of compliance requirement
In the National Capital Territory (NCT) of India, which includes New Delhi (the capital of India), Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and other cities and towns, drivers of natural gas vehicles have until June 1st to meet new compliance requirements. If vehicles do not display authorised compliance plates, no fuel will be dispensed. PNNL Developing New Conformal CNG Storage Tanks for NGVs

In January 2012, the U.S. Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) commenced a project to design low-cost efficient manufacturing of pressurized conformal compressed natural gas (CNG) storage tanks for natural gas vehicles (NGVs). Gastank Sweden Improves Type IV CNG Cylinders
Gastank Sweden AB has obtained certification to UN ECE R110 standard for its new Type IV Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) cylinders for motor vehicles. The cylinder differs from the lightweight composite CNG cylinder certified in 2010, using Dow’s composite resin technology together with HiPer-tex glass fiber from 3B. The toughened epoxy systems from Dow enables production of lightweight and durable composite cylinders with improved impact resistance, dynamic fatigue and low-temperature performance.

SRNL Study to Advance Gas Storage Innovation for Natural Gas Fueled Vehicles
The Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) in partnership with Ford Motor Company, the University of California-Berkeley, and BASF has been awarded $5.5 million by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to help develop vehicles fueled by natural gas. Luxfer Lists on NYSE
Luxfer Holdings PLC (Luxfer), a global materials technology which produces gas cylinders, celebrated the company’s recent initial public offering and listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) by ringing the opening bell. Luxfer began trading on the NYSE on October 3rd under the ticker symbol “LXFR”. An 18-wheel truck and trailer rig was displayed outside the NYSE to promote Luxfer’s lightweight composite cylinders for containment of clean-burning, environmentally friendly compressed natural gas (CNG).

Hexagon Composites Completes Internal Reorganisation
Hexagon Composites, through its various daughter companies, is a manufacturer of composite pressure vessels and systems. Since February this year the company has undertaken an internal restructuring, now complete. The product area for CNG Passenger Cars has been spun off from Ragasco AS and merged with Raufoss Fuel Systems AS. At the same time, the acquirer has changed its name from Raufoss Fuel Systems AS to Hexagon Raufoss AS. The new segment reporting will come into effect from 1 October. Read more »
