Support for Gaseous Fuels Leads to SAE Working Group in Australia

June 18, 2009 | Australia, Melbourne

Following it’s 2nd annual gaseous fuels conference on 15th June, the Society of Automotive Engineers – Australasia (SAE-A) is to establish a Gaseous Fuels working group in response to the interest expressed at the fully attended workshop. SAE-A Executive Director Max Chanter, said, “There is a lot of information on gaseous fuels available from companies and industry bodies and it is important to determine fact from fiction and ensure perception matches reality. By setting up the SAE-A gaseous fuels working group, we will be able review all of the latest information as an independent body.” Natural gas vehicle (NGV) stakeholders in Australia are also in the process of establishing a national association to advocate, disseminate information and provide services to meet the growing demand across the country.
