Speedy Fuel Opens LNG Stations in the Ports of LA and Long Beach. ALT Supplies Fuel.

June 26, 2010 | USA, California

Speedy Fuel, Inc., an owner and operator of several fuel stations around Southern California, has launched their first liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling station, serving heavy-duty class-8 trucks in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach areas. The station began providing fuel for trucking companies and independent owner operators within 60 days following initial groundbreaking. Applied LNG Technologies (ALT), a marketer and distributor of liquefied natural gas (LNG), is supplying LNG to the multi-fuel public access station. According to an ALT press release, the station is the first to be entirely funded privately and will be followed by two more in 2011.
