SAE-Australia Plans Bigger and Better Gaseous Fuels Conference in Australia

June 3, 2010

SAE-A 2010 Gaseous Fuels Conference (July 26 and 27) – Melbourne, Australia

Last year, the Society of Automotive Engineers – Australia (SAE-A) ran a very successful one-day gaseous fuels conference in response to growing interest in the country. This year, new technologies, new customers and new opportunities have provided demand for the conference to expand to two days, aimed at highlighting all sectors of the gaseous fuels industry. SAE-A Director Mr. Tim Car says, “The Australian gaseous fuels industry is experiencing greater market interest in these financially constrained times. With government focused on introducing tougher emission regulations and greater energy security and operators focused on reducing operating costs, LPG, LNG and CNG are well placed to be the new champions in the transport sector.”

Day one will focus on understanding the economic, environmental and political drivers, local and international industry developments and new infrastructure. An expert industry panel will also be assembled to tackle topical questions from the floor.

Day two will focus on current and emerging engine and emissions technologies, with associated technology on display.

Topics include:

  • the next generation gas Isuzu
  • Clean Air Power (UK) success story
  • understanding the political agenda
  • natural gas strategies, innovations and key issues
