Request For Proposal – Omnitek Distributor for Thailand

Omnitek Engineering, Corp., a global provider of Heavy Duty Natural Gas Engines and Diesel-to-Natural Gas Conversion Kits, is seeking proposals from qualified Thai-Based Companies to become official sales and service representatives for Omnitek in Thailand.

Market segments available are:

1) Transportation / On-road Cars, Truck and Bus

2) Transportation / Off-road Truck, Construction Equipment and Special Purpose Vehicles

3) Stationary and Industrial Engines / Generators, Compressors, Pumps, Boats

Qualified companies must be financially secure and have established business operations with adequate facilities to perform engine conversions and re-powering projects, have a staff of certified technicians and a secure warehousing system for service parts and display items. Ideal candidates will be within the greater Bangkok area and have experience in Natural Gas, as well as Diesel powered engines. All facilities must be fully compliant with local environmental and labor laws. Specifics of the RFP

Should we accept a Company’s application, such Company will become an Omnitek Master Distributor (OMD).

The OMD will be able to buy Omnitek Natural Gas Products and new Natural Gas Engines directly from Omnitek at a discounted price, as long as orders meet the minimum order quantity requirements. The OMD can sell products to customers for a price that is appropriate for local conditions. Furthermore, the Company will be advertised as an official OMD and will receive sales materials, catalogs, detailed technical training and ongoing technical support from Omnitek.

There may be more than one OMD per country and per market segment.

The OMD may apply for more than one Territory and more than one Market Segment.

The Territory may even be expanded to include neighboring countries.

Market segments available are:

A) Transportation / On-road Cars, Truck and Bus

B) Transportation / Off-road Truck, Construction Equipment and Special Purpose Vehicles

C) Stationary and Industrial Engines / Generators, Compressors, Pumps, Boats

Territories available are:

1) Thailand – North / Thailand – South

2) Malaysia / Singapore

3) Indonesia

The initial Agreement will be for 5 years as long as minimum sales amounts are reached, and can be renewed for an additional 5 years.

The minimum sales amount to keep OMD Status is $ 100,000 per each 6 month period.

What is required of the OMD?

1. Qualified companies must be financially secure and have established business operations with adequate facilities to perform engine conversions and re-powering projects.

2. Must have a staff of certified technicians

3. Have a secure warehousing system for service parts and display items.

4. Must have experience in Natural Gas, as well as Diesel/Gasoline powered engines.

5. All facilities must be fully compliant with local environmental and labor laws.

6. Must be familiar with import procedures and international business in general.

7. Proximity to CNG Fuel Station a Plus.

The OMD must be capable to perform Engine installations, road testing, warranty services, verification of installations by DIY fleet owners, engine rebuilds and conversions of diesel engines to CNG.

The OMD may train and set up sub-dealers under him and must carry sufficient inventory to serve the local market ($ 25,000 minimum). Should the OMD desire to sell new Omnitek CNG Engines, he must inventory engines in stock and have a showroom to display engines.
