Registration is open for NGVAmerica’s National NGV Conference-Summit, which will take place October 4-5 at the Omni Hotel in San Diego, California, just prior to the opening of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Annual Meeting and International Public Transportation Expo October 6-8.  Themed “GEAR UP! Capture the Momentum,” this year’s Conference-Summit will bring together NGV industry stakeholders, policymakers, clean-air/clean-transportation advocates and customers to strategize on the steps necessary to capture the current market momentum for NGVs and put in place mechanisms that will generate sustained growth in the future.  You can register on-line at www.ngvamerica.org.

The pre-Conference-Summit program will begin Saturday morning with a Market Advisory Committee (MAC) meeting from 9:30a.m.-12 noon, followed by NGVAmerica’s Board Meeting and Annual Meeting from 12:30-4:00 p.m., followed by the Clean Vehicle Education Foundation (CVEF)/NGVAmerica Technology Committee Meeting from 4:15-6:00 p.m.  That evening, NGVAmerica will be hosting a reception for Conference-Summit registrants and invited APTA Annual Meeting attendees on the Omni’s promenade deck overlooking Coronado Bay. 

Sunday’s Conference-Summit program begins at 8:00 a.m. with general session presentations and panel discussions addressing a wide variety of legislative/regulatory, market development, communications and technology topics. Our program will wrap up at 5:00 p.m., giving attendees a chance to freshen up before attending the APTA Opening/Welcome Reception Sunday evening.  Beginning Monday morning, NGVAmerica and nearly 40 members will work the 10,000+ square foot NGV Zone at the APTA International Public Transportation Expo at the Convention Center. October is prime season for San Diego conventions and tourism, and lodging availability goes fast (especially with the APTA Expo in town) so don’t procrastinate!
