July 9, 2010 | Switzerland, Solothurn

Celebrating the opening of two natural gas service stations near Solothurn.

Two new natural gas service stations have been opened in Switzerland, bringing the total number of stations in the country to 123, fueling approximately 9000 NGVs. The stations, built and owned by Regio Energie Solothurn (RES) and operated by BP (Switzerland) and Eni Suisse SA, were opened near the town of Solothurn on the A1, at the North and South Deitingen rest stops. Each is equipped with a GreenField 40kg/min single dispenser and nozzle. RES opened its first natural gas service station in Zuchwil Aarmatt in 2001 and a second in Bernese Utzendorf in 2007. In Switzerland all natural gasĀ  is supplied with a minimum of 10% biomethane.
