The Czech Gas Association, a professional association of gas businesses, both natural and juristic persons, operating in the Czech Republic and a member of IGU (International Gas Union), MARKOGAZ and ENGVA (European Natural Gas Vehicle Association), is preparing an international conference on Prospects for the Development and Use of CNG in Transport. The conference will take place at the Dorint Hotel Don Giovanni in Prague, Czech Republic, on 23rd and 24th January 2008.
The purpose of this international conference is to impart to its participants the latest findings concerning natural gas use in transport, and offer a discussion forum for issues related to its further development. The global surge in liquid fuel consumption is causing a disproportionate increase in health and environmental risks and contributes unfavourably to climate changes.
Representatives from the Czech Republic and other countries will speak at the conference in one of the following sessions:
– Transport and the environment in 2020
– Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) – the optimum automobile fuel for the medium term
– CNG Vehicles – the key partner for the development of natural gas vehicles
– Good infrastructure is a prerequisite for a broader development of gas in transport – CNG refuelling stations, and maintenance and garaging of CNG vehicles.
