July 13, 2006

Poland, Warsaw

Polish extraction company, PGNiG and the biggest domestic fuel producer
and distributor, PKN Orlen, have signed a letter of intent to perform
together on investments and projects in the field of oil and gas
extraction and logistic infrastructure related to these sectors.
Included in the letter is a commitment to conduct negotiations with
regard to activities aimed at increasing the sales of compressed

establish a coordination team by the end of this month with a view to
reporting to the respective boards of the companies within a few months.
