The Malaysian Government has ordered Petronas to build up to 200 stations that provide for Natural Gas for Vehicles by the end of next year. According to Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad, the figure includes the 73 existing NGV stations and two more stations expected to be ready by the end May. Apparently another 25 stations are expected to be completed by the end of the year and the balance 100 stations would be ready next year. The infrastructure is to cater to about 10,700 vehicles that use NGV," he said in Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday.
