Omnitek

December 16, 2007

Californian based Omnitek has announced the release of a new
Carburation and Ignition Management System (CIMS). The company has also
landed its first engine in Thailand to service the urban bus market
there.

Omnitek CEO, Werner Funk, says the CIMS, which can be use for
natural gas or LPG applications, features an integrated ignition and
carburetion controller to manage the gas metering and ignition timing
for lowest fuel consumption and emissions and provides a lower cost
option to electronic fuel injection.

Meanwhile installation of the bus engine is underway at the workshops
of local partner SAS Tech Solution Co., LTD in Bangkok. Funk says the
engine will undergo a one-month evaluation period and that Omnitek
expects to deliver a total of 200 before Christmas. The company is also
working on a conversion system for diesel engines that have already
done service in the Thai bus fleets.
