OIML Measurement Standard

May 10, 2007

Further to an earlier NGV Global item on the final OIML (Organisation Internationale Metrology Legale) draft of the CNG measurement standard. This is a most important standard and members of the NGV industry are urged to review the draft http://www.oiml.org/download/cds/tc8_sc7_cng.pdf. IANGV has commissioned Dr Hien Ly to review this draft.

Dr Ly was a key commentator on earlier drafts.  Subject to a satisfactory consultation process, voting on the standard by committee members (national measurement authorities) is under way and results are expected by the end of 2007. ENGVA is coordinating comments from the natural gas vehicle industry, with comments invited by email to Dr Jeffrey Seisler, ENGVA Executive Director jseisler@engva.nl with a copy to Dr Ly hly0104@bigpond.net.au
