Every two years, IANGV members elect or appoint new office bearers for the Executive Committee. This normally happens at the Council meeting which this year will be on Friday 7 June in Rio de Janeiro directly after NGV2008. Office bearers to be elected are:
- President
- Senior Vice President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
IANGV members are invited to nominate candidates for the elected
positions by email to G.harris@iangv.org or at the Council meeting.
At present, John Lyon is president, Rich Kolodziej Senior Vice
President, Alex Lawson Vice President, and Sean Blythe Treasurer. Juan
Carlos Fracchia is Immediate Past President.
In addition, five regional delegates are appointed by the NGV industry in five regions – Europe, Middle East/Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America. Current delegates are Peter Boisen, Yehia El-Ridi, Kevin Park and Mario Pirraglia respectively. R Fernandes, formerly the South American representative, represents the conference organisers. IANGV members are invited to nominate candidates by contacting their regional NGV association which will make the selection.
Finally, the Council may appoint three further delegates. At present these are delegates representing International Gas Union (IGU) (Jorge Doumanian), vehicles and technology (Manuel Lage), and government and international relations (Jeff Seisler).
