Opel, Robert Bosch, IVK (Internal Combustion Engines and Automotive Engineering) and FKFS (Forschungsinstitut für Kraftfahrwesen und Fahrzeugmotoren Stuttgart) have been working on a natural gas hybrid vehicle, aimed at developing an NGV prototype emitting less than 90 g CO2/km emissions. At the recent SAE 2010 World Congress, researchers from IVK,  University of Stuttgart and FKFS presented a paper describing the optimization development. More details available in a Green Car Congress report.
