On July 4, natural gas industry manufacturers and other industry stakeholders joined owners of natural gas vehicles from all over Germany to enjoy a day of natural gas news, discussion, fellowship and inspiration at the annual international Erdgasfahrertag, which was held on the shores of Lake Markkleeberg just south of Leipzig. Erdgasfahrertag captured this shot of the world’s first gas powered Caddy pickup, based on a VW Caddy Maxi EcoFuel. (Note the cng fuelled VW Scirrocco in the background – which featured in last May’s 24 hour Nürburgring endurance race.)
