New Opel Combo Cargo Debuts in Berne

November 16, 2011 | Germany, Rüsselsheim

Opel/Vauxhall Combo Cargo available with compressed natural gas

Opel has launched its Combo Cargo variant at the “transportCH” in Berne. Like the Combo passenger vehicle recently launched in Frankfurt, the Combo Cargo is available in with a compressed natural gas (CNG) powertrain. Instead of the standard 60 liter fuel tank, the Combo CNG contains a 22 liter gasoline tank and cylinders containing 95 liters of gas (130 liters in the long wheel base version), resulting in a maximum range of up to 750 kilometers. It has up to 3.8 or 4.6 cubic meters load capacity respectively (short/long wheel base, front passenger seat folded down) and can carry a payload of up to a ton.
