June 19, 2010 | USA, Calumet City IL
Doreens eight Pizza Delivery trucks have been retrofitted to run on CNG.

Doreen's eight Pizza Delivery trucks have been retrofitted to run on CNG.

In Illinois, USA, Doreen’s Gourmet Pizza has added extra green to its handmade pizza line by opening an onsite natural gas filling station to service its interstate fleet of eight CNG-powered delivery trucks. Firm president Bob Wisz said he started the process of converting to compressed natural gas fuel two years ago, in response to high diesel prices and is delighted to be able to fill up his vehicles with largely domestically-supplied fuel. He expects the investment cost of $40,000 for the filling station will be recouped in 12-18 months.
