Natural Gas Vehicles Clearing the Air Around the Taj Mahal

ImageCorrosive effects of air pollution on the prestigious Taj Mahal look
set to reduce with the growing use of natural gas vehicles in the city
of Agra and other cities in the Uttar Pradesh region. Local press
reports indicate that city authorities officially inaugurated 15 CNG
buses in Agra earlier this month with another 100 expected to be join
them in the coming months. Business Standard reports that measures are
currently under way to ensure that all commercial vehicles operating
within a 50 km region of the Taj operate on compressed natural gas
(CNG).
