More than 10000 CNGVs for Shenzhen City

December 11, 2006

China, Guang Dong Province

CNGV reports that the Guang Dong Province Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
project is providing fuel for the development of natural gas vehicles
(NGVs) in Shenzhen City.

Buses, taxis and sanitary vehicles in the city are mainly powered by
compressed natural gas (CNG), with some fuel being provided by
liquefied compressed natural gas (LCNG) and LNG facilities.

Plans are in place to build 96 CNG stations, including 18 standard
refueling stations, 6 mother CNG stations, 60 daughter CNG stations, 12
LCNG and LNG stations.

It is estimated that 10,000 natural gas vehicles, consuming 200
millions m3 of natural gas, will be in operation by 2010, rising to
21,000 natural gas vehicles and 450 millions m3 natural gas by 2020.
