More Natural Gas Fuelling Installations For Four US States

December 10, 2008 | USA

California’s Gas Equipment Systems, Inc. (GESI) reports new contracts for compressed natural gas fueling installations in four States. According to GESI president Larry Ozier, the new business is from companies who have done their homework and are serious about implementing a CNG fleet program.  Fleets and Fuels summarises the developments as follows:

  • Groot Industries has tapped GESI for the supply and construction of a CNG station in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The GESI-designed duplex Gardner Denver compression package will support 40 refuse trucks and support vehicles.
  • Oshkosh Truck’s McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing unit awarded GESI a contract for supply and installation of CNG infrastructure for its body manufacturing facility in Dodge Center, Minnesota. The Gardner Denver-equipped complex came online on November 1.
  • The City of Turlock, California, has awarded GESI a contract for supply and construction of the City’s first CNG fueling station, for city vehicles, while the City of Exeter, California, picked GESI for a public access station with both time- and fast-fill capabilities. Rancho Cucamonga awarded a contract for the supply and construction of a CNG combination time fill and fast fill station for city fleet vehicles.
  • GESI is upgrading a CNG station at the Marine Corps. Air Station in Yuma, Arizona, with fast-fill storage and dispensing.
