Major Undersea Gas Find for China

July 13, 2006

China, Beijing

China could improve its energy dependence following the discovery of
what may be the country’s largest undersea natural gas reserves.
Reuters reports China’s Ministry of Land and Resources as saying the
discovery, in the South China Sea, could exceed 100 billion cubic
metres in reserves. China is one of the fastest developing users of
natural gas vehicles in the world.
