Third International NGV Conference – 2010

The MADEGASCAR (market development for gas driven cars) project is drawing to a close, marking its conclusion with a conference — “On the Road with CNG and Biomethane – European Best Practice Examples” — set for February 4-5 in Prague. The conference will be held in cooperation with the Third International NGV conference – 2010, which is themed “Prospects for the Development and Use of CNG in Transport“, and is organised by the Czech Gas Association in cooperation with NGVA Europe.

The NGV 2010 conference, with its special focus on Central and Eastern Europe, will take place in the Dorint Hotel Don Giovanni Prague on 3 and 4 February, 2010. The conference, held under the auspices of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, is intended for all businesses operating in road transport, company managers, state administration and local government officials, mayors of towns and cities, and all those who are interested in CNG use in transport.

The MADEGASCAR conference is arranged as a separate session and will be held in the afternoon of 4 February, 2010. Participation in the MADEGASCAR session is free. The program will include highlights of the European best practice examples carried out within the scope of MADEGASCAR and will have a special focus on biomethane.

The detailed programme is available here.

The MADEGASCAR project was funded by the IEE programme of the European Commission, planned to run from September 2007 to January 2010. The project has aimed to develop the market for gas driven vehicles – natural gas and biomethane fuelled vehicles – with the overall goal to increase the number of energy efficient and alternative fuelled vehicles in European countries. The project’s progress toward achieving its aims will be discussed at the conference.
