A poll carried out by the University of Lima at the end of July recorded 55.7% of taxi drivers in Lima and Callao fuel their vehicles with natural gas. The second most-used fuel was diesel (25.3%), followed by LPG (13.7%) and gasoline (5.3%). 68% of drivers were using vehicles manufactured in the previous decade (1991 – 2000), according to a report by Radio Nacional.
