Lifan 520 CNG Sells in Peru

May 18, 2009
The Lifan 620 sedan due to be launched in Peru August 2009

Peru, Lima

Lifan Peru, seller of the Chinese-designed, locally manufactured Lifan Sports HB 520 model, operating on bi-fuel (compressed natural gas / petrol), has reported an increase in sales of 218% for January-April 2009, compared with a similar period last year. Following the introduction of the brand into Peru mid-2008, 33 units were sold in 2008 and 105 units in 2009 – the latter reportedly exceeding all expectations given the current economic climate. Augusto Bezada, Brand Manager, said that the figures “encourages us to continue to grow and strengthen our presence in the country.” Lifan Peru plans to launch the Lifan 620 sedan in August this year.
