International Airport has successfully completed the bid proposal
package for 16 new compressed natural gas shuttles vehicles for their
"Super Park" CNG Shuttle Program.
Ten of the new CNG shuttles will replace the first ten CNG units placed
in their fleet in 2001. A new group of six CNG shuttle vehicles will
be added to serve the new Lambert Airport Employee parking lot near
Cypress Road and I-70.
The successful contractors/bid included:
· Central States Bus Company , Fenton, Missouri (Eldorado Bus Company)
· Ford Motor Company E-450 V-10 Cutaways (gasoline systems to remain
intact and allow bi-fuel operation and improved resale value)
· Alternative Fuel Systems of St. Louis (packaged the
proposal and included the necessary installation/maintenance)
· DRV Energy Group
· ECO CNG Systems (Vehicle Conversion System)
· Dynetek CNG Storage Vessels.
The shuttles are scheduled to be delivered beginning September.
