Toyota Corolla Altis CNG - launching Oct 2009

Toyota is close to launching its latest CNG-fueled vehicle in India, once final endurance testing has been completed. The launch of the CNG Corolla Altis is set for October, in time for Diwali (Festival of Lights) sales. According to a Maxabout review, the Altis CNG will feature a modern Sequential Injection system, along with its own ECU, to deliver economy without sacrificing on performance and driveability. Economy trials are reported to be ‘quite efficient’ with figures hovering around the 20km per kg of CNG, without sacrificing power output.
