IMPCO Obtains EPA Certs of Conformity for Chevy Impala and Buick Lucerne

May 27, 2010 | USA, Santa Anna CA

The Buick Lucerne can receive an EPA-certified natural gas conversion from IMPCO.

IMPCO Technologies, Inc., of Santa Ana, California has received a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certificate of conformity (COC) covering their 3.5L and 3.9L Chevy Impala and Buick Lucerne bi-fuel conversions. The COC covers installations completed by December 31, 2011. IMPCO already had the 2009 certificate, which remains active for conversions completed by December 31, 2010. The company’s collection of current natural gas certifications and those of all other known Small Volume Manufacturers (SVMs) are listed in NGVAmerica’s “Available Natural Gas Vehicles and Engines” document. US NGV industry stakeholders, Clean Cities Coordinators and other clean-air/clean transportation advocate-allies are encouraged to reference and use this continually updated web-linked document.
